Dr. Mazen I. Abbas, DO, MPH, MSHS is a
board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and integrative medicine physician
with almost two decades of clinical, academic, and military leadership
experience.*
A native of Lebanon, Dr. Abbas is at
the forefront of innovative care at the intersection of gastrointestinal
health, trauma-informed care, and mind-body medicine.*
In order to advance his
evidence-based, holistic approaches to pediatric and adult care, he recently
completed a Masters in Integrative Medicine from George Washington University.*
He currently holds faculty
appointments at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the University of
Hawai‘i, where he serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. His
extensive clinical experience includes roles at institutions such as Kapi‘olani
Medical Center for Women and Children (HI), Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical
Center (ME), John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (NY), Valley
Children’s Hospital (CA), California Pacific Medical Center (CA), Children’s
Minnesota (MN), Tripler Army Medical Center (HI), and Walter Reed National
Military Medical Center (MD).*

Gut, reflects his personal journey from "hyper-achiever" survival
patterns to somatic awareness and spiritual connection.*
Viewing children as "spiritual
barometers" for our society, Dr. Maz utilizes a trauma-informed approach
